Carrie and Doug Casa Feliz
Carrie and I planned her destination wedding via phone and email. As an event planner, she was full of ideas, and together we collaborated to make a charming evening for her and Doug and their family and friends. What was the favorite design element from your wedding?“I loved the chalk boards by Chalk Shop. Not only was Kim easy to work with and filled with fantastic ideas, her boards turned out even better than I had imagined. I think having the signage there to communicate small elements really helped with the flow of the event (Being an event planner, I am big on flow). We were thrown a curve ball when the weather dipped so low that a lot of our design elements were moved indoors. But I think the architecture of the house really gave some of our outdoor elements a new life – having the Cook Trio framed in the patio archways, having the swag on the tent sides, the seating chart being showcased on the windows. I also loved the way the tent turned out. I thought it had a warm, inviting glow to it, and the drapery was perfect.”
