Italian Bella Collina Wedding with Chalk Shop!

Bellisimo! Michelle and Jason celebrated in grand style at the beautiful Bella Collina! Chalk Shop was thrilled to create not only the Big board for a photo booth, but also a Limoncello board to highlight their guest favors.  The traditional Italian dinner and dessert bar was highlighted by custom boards which complimented the oh so Italian feel right here in our own central Florida! Please take a look at some of my personal favorites, Thank you to Studio 222 and Brandee from Blush for coordinating and capturing and creating such a beautiful wedding!

Save the Date- Engagement Session with Brittany & Michael

There is something so magical about those first images of  a couple who are sweethearts.  Not only are they engaged sweethearts, but Brittany & Michael are high school sweethearts as well.  The Storybook setting for their upcoming wedding is the Estate House at Cypress Grove.  Brittany will be working with the Chalk Shop to create chalkboard decor that blends with the vintage 1925 estate.

The Big Board CELEBRATES Katie & Matt

Katie & Matt invited our work to be the center piece of their Brunch Reception.  The Big Board was chalked up and ready  to go for its first visit to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando.   Katie was  over the moon excited as she explained to me the details that she and Matt had worked on for the big dream day.  This is a glimpse into her day ( Part 1)   The Big Dream Board was accented in lavender and stood proudly against a thousand yards of white draping.  We used the tech savvy  appy couple to involve the guests, this allowed the guests to snap shots on their electronic devices.  This is a great way to use the Big Board without the need for a second photographer.  Under the beauty of the white tent the personalized accessory paddles and the classic wayfarer sunglasses with mustaches added just the right amount of elegant whimsy that Katie was looking for.  The whimsical chalk designs were completely customized and designed for her day.

“Brittany” Ribbon Board for Save the Date!

Today I met Brittany and she met her “Brittany Ribbon Board.”  This is an example of the creative process at Chalk Shop Events.  Through the magic of Pinterest, brides send me inspiration pictures, I draft, draw and create shapes.  Multiple layers of chalkboard paint are applied and a custom graphic chalked onto the board.  Brittany loves bows and asked me to incorporate them into the design.  Can’t wait to see the engagement pictures when she shares them with us.

Engagement with Jen Adams!

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of there dreams.” -Eleanor Rooselvelt

I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica and Blake at the Dubsdread Tasting.  They are as fun and joyful in person as they are in these pictures.   They both have a twinkle in their eye.  I can’t wait to see Jen Adams capture the romance of their big day.   How beautiful is the big tree at Highland Manor?  Another  charming setting right here in our own neighborhood of Orlando.  So far I think their dream is off to a beautiful start.

Tiny Boards!

Tiny chalk boards were the theme of the week.  The “celebration paddles” were well received a the Dubsdread Bridal Tasting.  I met so many sweet brides and enthusiastic grooms.  They each inspired me with there excitement about the big day they were planning.

“tiny tabletop boards” were also well received at the Tasting.  The topiaries with the tiny boards will make charming table numbers.  The buffet boards will add style to candy bars, multiple cupcake flavors, and the new idea from this week a sangria bar.

One of our new brides this week has a love of bows.  We can add any color bow to these tiny boards to customize to her color palette.

Ohhh, Happy Planning!

Festive Fall Brunch with Chalk Shop

Who doesn’t love to eat breakfast?  Eggs Benedict with brown sugar bacon in a martini glass, shrimp and grits with tiny corn muffins and miniature muffins were a few of the items that Chalk Shop highlighted at the annual Brunch.  Also a hit was the fresh squeezed Florida grapefruit Lemonade.  Arthurs Catering served up a lovely morning and Velvet & Twine accented the event with vibrant fall colored blooms.

The Veranda Re-Opening Event!

The Veranda was all dressed up in the roaring 20’s theme in honor of its affiliation with Historic Dubsdread Catering. Cathie Ashby and her team did an amazing job. First you had to pass the speak easy. You then entered a magical night of entertainment and tasting. Crab cakes were not to be missed. My favorite floral detail was the white peacocks of mums done by Lee Forrest Designs, they were perched on silver branches with feather tails bringing your eye upward. The Sugar Suite was as delicious as always with salted caramel chocolate cupcakes as well as an amaretto cupcake that melted in your mouth. The picturesque courtyard and historic buildings are a perfect setting for a garden themed wedding and a sprinkling of chalkboards would enhance this already charming location.
